The newest member of our family. He was found wondering the dangerous streets of Forney, TX. Lol... A parent of one of my volleyball campers found him and kept him for a week trying to find his owners. With no replies and no microchip she asked if I wanted to take him home because she already has 2 dogs and can't keep him. Well long story short Pearl sealed the deal. She fell in love with this little guy so I couldn't say no. After spending all my camp $$$ at the vet only to find out that he has flea allergies, is heart worm positive and has 1 BB pellet in his leg. I couldn't help but think this little man was sent to me for a reason. So proud to say that I'm an owner of a sweet creature and his name shockingly enough is, Cooter Brown. But we just call him Cooter around here :)

He loves his new big sister. She sometimes scares him because she moves so fast at times. And he really gets freaked out when she has one of her toys in her mouth and starts shaking it to death. Pretty frightening for a young guy to witness.

Well I can't believe this day is here. The 3rd Hartwick is preparing for her senior year. I remember this young lady when she was just in elementary school. Man did she drive me crazy. I had a wonderful time visiting my family in Tulsa, OK this past weekend. I especially enjoyed spending time with my 1 yr. old niece Emmy Marie. She is a pistol to say the least. One of her favorite places to sit and play is in front of her big picture window in her living room. She can see everything from that one spot. Dogs playing in the yard, people driving up to visit, big sister playing with friends in the front yard and of course all the pretty birds. We were even lucky enough to see a turtle walking past heading to the pond in the back. Turtles are her favorite so you can only imagine her excitement, also known as screaming, that we all endured. I had to capture a couple of images of this beautiful site so we can cherish them forever. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do...

Yesterday Pearl and I took a trip to Forney America to the newly remodeled Forney Animal Clinic. The employees asked Daisy Pearl Photography to help come up with ideas to decorate their new waiting room. I photographed all the employees canine and feline children to be displayed on the walls and enjoyed every workday by their proud parents and clients alike. Below are just a few of my favorites.

Just a quick post of my 3 little turkeys. While spending Thanksgiving with my family I got to dress up my 3 nieces and then I drug them outside to take a couple of pictures. They are the silliest girls I've ever been around. They act more and more like my sister and I everyday. I made the 2 oldest play around with the scarves and I think I captured something similar to a National Geographic cover ;-) But I love the texture so I had to post. Enjoy the turkey parade...

I had to post this shoot before I leave to go to Oklahoma for Turkey Day. This beautiful creature is Stella. She is a lapsa apsa mix that was rescued by her awesome mom Tiffany. We had so much fun walking around, watching all the cars and people go by. Every once in a while Stella would feel sorry for me laying on the ground so she would look right into the lens and smile with those big eyes to make it all worthwhile. This past Saturday I had my first Equine shoot. I had goosebumps the whole time. These creatures are amazing, such gentle giants. They are such people animals. I kind of got the impression that they thought they were kittens or small lap dogs. They could not get enough attention. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

I could not wait to post a couple of pics from this little mans shoot. I laughed throughout the whole thing. Mr. C is 6 months old and weighs 24 lbs. , I'm thinking future lineman. He is child number 3 for the Ballard family and absolutely gorgeous.

I'd have to describe this first picture as pure joy. That's exactly what it brings to me every time I look at it.

Before anyone thinks anything, I don't do weddings yet! Way to stressful... But this summer I was asked to shoot a destination wedding for some of my dearest friends. The bride was my assistant coach when I was coaching volleyball so I thought the least I could do was help her out since that's pretty much what she did for me everyday during season. The wedding was in Allenspark, Colorado, gorgeous... I finally had an opportunity to post just a few of my favorite pics from that wonderful day. Last Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful senior from Warren High School in San Antoino, TX. The funny thing about this shoot is that the last time I saw this gorgeous young woman she was in third grade and followed me around like my little shadow when I was babysitting her. We used to fix each others' hair, play cards, and watch the Spice Girls movie until she fell asleep. Well, this Daddy's girl is all grown up now but still as sweet as ever... Last Friday I had the opportunity to attend a fabulous workshop, Shauna Maness business workshop. The reason I titled this "Friday from Heaven" was because this workshop was such a blessing. I learned so much and left with a head full of ideas and the urge to get started right away. I also got to meet some wonderful photographers and was totally inspired by all of them.
